DUKE TIP PROGRAM

For 7th graders interested in Duke Talent Identification Program (TIP)®. Offered locally (Dallas) and virtually. All enrollees get access to the All SAT Courses Bundle video course.

ENROLLMENT

Enrollment accepted from August - September for program starting in September of the student’s 7th grade
After enrollment, Instructor meets with parents and student before course begins to explain standard processes and expectations, to answer questions and to schedule Diagnostic Test

DIAGNOSTIC TESTS

Students take a full-length practice SAT minus the essay (3 hours). These diagnostic tests results are their baseline scores and identify student-specific course content needs

All students complete standard Brilliant Prep SAT/PSAT coursework and homework assignments with a particular individual emphasis on areas identified in pre-testing, progress reports, and periodic evaluation meetings

SAT PREP (15 weeks)
Starting the second week of October through February
Weeks 1-12.
Instructor meets with students for 2 hrs. 1 x per week for learning SAT/PSAT course content and testing strategies; students receive course homework and instructor review

PRACTICE TESTS

Starting the First week of February through first week of March

Week 13 - 15
Students meet 1 time per week for 3 hours/per meeting to take SAT practice tests (3 weeks)

Duke TIP program students are prepared for the annual March SAT Test Schedule-Provided for your information, actual dates are listed at www.collegeboard.com
We recommend taking your SATs twice for best results.
